Where we get our name from - The Golden Larches

Easily viewed from the west facing windows of the restaurant, the Golden Larch trees can be seen soaring

to heights that exceed 120 feet. The Golden Larch is a hardy tree and can tolerate more northerly regions;

it can be found in northern Italy and even as far north as Scotland.

The olden larch is named for the spectacular colour of its autumn leaves, which turn a bright golden yellow

before changing to orangey-brown and then falling. This transformation usually happens in October over the

course of a few weeks.
